Remember: Art journal page

The last few day I have been busy creating an art journal page. I haven’t done it very often so I can safely say; I’m a beginner. The inspiration was the little purple sentiment. Believe it or not, this was the wrapper of a teabag from tea I had in the art museum in                        ‘s Hertogenbosch last week. I knew directly I wanted to create “something” with it.

De laatste paar dagen ben ik bezig geweest met het maken van een Art Journal pagina. Ik heb dit nog niet zo vaak gedaan dus ik kan zeker zeggen: Ik ben een beginner. De inspiratie voor deze pagina was de kleine tekst. Geloof het of niet, dit was de verpakking van een theezakje van de thee die ik vorige week had in het Noord-Brabant museum in’s Hertogenbosch. Ik wist meteen dat ik hier “iets” mee moest doen.

 As you maybe know; art journaling is a proces. Well for me it is. A base layer and then building it up. For me it is still very difficult to work so randomly, without a real plan. For the flowers I used paper from my “clean my brayer book”. When playing with my Gel Press Plate I rol of the exces paint from my brayer in this A4 size book. As you can see (below) those prints are awesome as well.

Zoals je misschien weet, het maken van een art journaal pagina is een proces. Nou ja, voor mij in ieder geval wel. Opbouwend, laagje voor laagje. Het is voor mij wel erg moeilijk om zo losjes  te werken, zo zonder echt plan. Voor de bloemen heb ik papier gebruikt wat uit mijn eigen “maak mijn roller schoon boek” komt. Als ik met mijn gel printing plaat aan het werk ben dan rol ik mijn roller schoon in dit a4 formaat boek. Zoals je kan zien (hieronder) geeft dat ook wonderlijke  mooie resultaten

Out of one of this pages I cut some petals and created the flower.

For this page I used: Acrylic paint, Gelatos -Faber Castell-, stencils, shimmer mist, a black pen and sharpie, a white pencil, my special paper and ModPodge.

Van een pagina uit dit boek heb ik blaadjes geknipt en de bloem gemaakt.

Voor deze pagina heb ik gebruikt: Acryl verf, Gelatos -Faber Castell-, stencils, shimmer mist, zwarte pen en stift, een wit potlood, mijn speciale papier en ModPodge.
